Polymer and Bronze Metal Clay…

go together so well!  I’m thrilled with the way this pendant turned out and it looks equally good from both sides…fashion mileage at its best!  The front side hold a polymer clay fossil facsimile and the back side shows fragments of script and a beetle.  Presently, I’m creating a collection of mixed media jewelry that resembles pieces one might have found on an archaeological dig, although some have a modern twist.  Watching the movie Cleopatra and all those other movies about ancient Egypt have definitely left an impression on me!  I haven’t yet come up with a name for the collection – several are floating around in my head – Past/Present, Ancient/Modern, Modern Antiquities are some that come to mind.
