And here it is…
Remember all those cast twigs, silver wire, drilled pebbles and pyrite nuggets shown in my previous post? Here’s the finished piece! I’ve titled it “Rockabye”, inspired by the lullaby, but it’s also a play on the granite pebble and pyrite nugget that are suspended from the “tree top” cast fine silver branch accented with a copper leaf and black pearl. The asymmetrical pendant measures three inches in length by two inches in width and it could be worn on a chain, but I prefer the simplicity of the forged hammer-textured sterling silver neck ring…it seems the perfect accompaniment to this one-of-a-kind piece!

This is just gorgeous. It looks very simple, but I know it took some thinking to have it look this way. Just great!

Thank you, Alicia. It did take a bit of thought. The copper leaf wasn’t part of my original design, but the more I looked at the pendant, the more I realized that it wasn’t finished…it needed something to balance the asymmetry. The leaf added the visual balance that was missing!
