I’m on an earring kick and…
I’m creating quite a collection! It’s been a long time since I’ve felt like making earrings, but dusting off my hydraulic press and having new pancake dies has given me a tremendous amount of motivation! I also hadn’t set stones in quite a while, but I’m really having fun adding the colorful little gems to my work. I have not yet tired of heart-themed jewelry (I probably never will!) and I’m working on another pair at the moment. I’ve just finished the hammer-textured and darkly patinaed sterling silver hearts shown above. They are embellished with tiny 18K gold bimetal dots and stones of Chrysoprase, Lapis, and Amethyst. Brass rivets and spacer beads connect the top heart to a textured bronze heart beneath. I’ve title this pair “Heart to Heart”.

Thank you, Julie. Some think hearts are trite, but I love hearts too!
