My first project using the new star-cutter set…
You may have already guessed that my first project using the new star-cutter set I recently purchased would be another pair of earrings…and yes, this pair features die-cut hearts (I just love heart-themed jewelry!). The top layer of each earring is made of hammer-textured, patinated sterling silver and bezel set with two cabochons of gold and green Paua shells and a tiny Sleeping Beauty Turquoise cabochon. A star is cut out at the top making visible the bronze under layer. Measuring 2.5″ in length and .75″ in width, both layers are separated by 1mm spacer beads and cold-connected with brass rivets.

Thank you! Earrings seem to be all I want to make of late and I’m so enjoying playing with various design elements and setting stones! Stay tune…there are more to come!

I love making earrings whenever I can get a break in between shows and filling orders. I’ll be looking out!

I must say, your designs are wonderful. I had worked at a jewelry store once upon a time and it’s hard at times to find the right style. Each person is different! These look wonderful and you can tell the attention to detail that goes into your work! 🙂
