Reliquiae…

I have just finished creating this multi-object pendant. It suggests a piece that might be worn to a ritualistic ceremony. I view it as a work that imparts strength, protection, and a feeling of reverence for ancient life. Composed of carved shell, dragon blood jasper, carnelian, druzy, fine silver cast twigs, and fossils of mammoth bone, walrus tooth, and sputnik sea urchin, I’ve titled this piece “Reliquiae”, which is the Latin plural form for “remains”.
