Another “Bronze Age” piece…
I really love the look of bronze! When polished to a high shine, it resembles gold at a fraction of the cost. If a patina is applied, it can take on an ancient deep coppery bronze shade, a black-brown, or any shade in between depending on the solution you use and the length of time it is allowed to soak. And it looks wonderful against silver! This “Cicada” pendant was made with bronze metal clay. It measures 2” in length and is shown on a sterling silver chain. It will be added to my “Bronze Age” collection, which will be featured at my September 8 trunk show hosted by Brio Gallery in Galena, Illinois.
